Melancholy Snow

This piece was inspired by my love for the snow. This poem is about a girl who can’t handle her emotions and how she can’t find a way to escape them. This poem is also about the comparison of her life to snow and how she gets more sad after every step she takes and can’t find a way to gain happiness.

Her whole world starts to melt as if it’s snow;

As she solemnly walks a lonely road

Trickling white ice falls timid and slow

And her desolation begins to grow

While her mind has begun to implode

Her whole world starts to melt as if it’s snow.

The blissful feeling makes her feel follow

To the point where her emotions explode.

Trickling white ice falls timid and slow.

Breathe. She wants to sink deeper, go below

The world that she knows, it seems to have slowed.

Her whole world starts to melt as if it’s snow.

She always feels like there’s no tomorrow.

She sat back and watched as her problems flowed.

Trickling white ice falls timid and slow.

Time put on stop. When would she ever know

Her life turned around as soon as it snowed.

Trickling white ice falls timid and slow

Her whole world starts to melt as if it’s snow.
